Dr. Jinmisayo Awokola

Dr. Jinmisayo A. Awokola is an Assistant Professor of Computing with about 15 years of experience both in the academia and industry. He has been a part of several projects within the FINTECH, EdTECH and HealthTech spaces to mention but a few. He currently serves as the Director of Business, Unitellas Edge Cloud Services – a Cloud infrastructure company at the forefront of championing data sovereignty and domestication across Africa with the notable 1Government Cloud project of the Federal Government of Nigeria in collaboration with the Galaxy Backbone as a flagship.
He is a Digital Transformation and Digital Literacy Consultant and enthusiast, with over a decade long active involvement in several notable Digital Literacy advocacy projects within Nigeria and across Africa. He is also an alumni of the prestigious Lagos Business School, an academic member of the FINTECH Association of Nigeria, a full Member of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) as well as the Society for Telemedicine and e-Health in Nigeria. While undertaking his PhD research, he was a visiting doctoral research fellow at the Internet Technologies and Systems Chair of the Hasso Plattner Institute, University of Potsdam. Dr. Awokola is happily married with children.
