Brandon is currently Deputy Director Innovation and Commercialisation: Spinout Companies and Funds at Stellenbosch University, and manages the award-winning SU LaunchLab. The LaunchLab helps technology-based startups validate their value proposition and business model, create a growing commercial entity and attract risk capital for scaling. At the LaunchLab he has worked with more than 250 founders and teams and seen companies raise more than R700m in risk capital.

Brandon’s expertise is in the early stage (pre-seed and seed) South African startup ecosystem. Brandon has a strong background in developing leaders of startups to help them lead their teams toward financial success and thriving cultures. He currently serves on several startup boards, and is a Certified Director with the IoDSA to help startups with their corporate governance needs
